Battle Mechanics Feild / Speed / Attacking / Layer / Defending / RNG / GD / Comparison

Ok i will start with Attacking first. When attacking there are several things to remember, The speed of the unit you are attacking with, the range, speed, layering, and Techs.

Field
To start i will explain the battle field, The size of the battle field is determined by the attackers, It Always starts at a base for (350 - 500) units(this is not the exact number), the base is then increased by the highest range of the units you send, so if you send ft with lvl 0 weapons cal the field is increased to 1100 spaces between the attackers and the city, with lbm the field goes up to 1700. The Equation to find out Field size is simply 500 + highest troops range + (troop range*(WC * .05)).

Speed
The speed of units is also very important to attacking, each unit move the same number of units per turn as its speed plus techs. So a Bd with lvl 0 dragonry moves at 750 units per turn, a ssd moves at 1000 units per turn, ect. the equation for speeds stop moving as soon as they are in Battle Mechanics

ATTACKING
range of an enemy so even if you w is  Base + (base*(Dragonry or RD) * .05).  Troops will move this exact number of units or stop as soon as they are in range of an enemy unit type even if it is a single unit.

Attacking
After coming in range of an enemy units moving, then they deal a damage equal to there attack (also raged attack or defense)  + (ranged attack *Met *  .05) - RNG. This number is subtracted from the total heath of the enemy units ( Health + (Health * Med * .05)) once the number reaches zero you have killed all of that troop type. After one attack the attacking unit is done for the turn.

Layer
When you take the mechanics of seed into play you can use other troops to protect you ranged troops as you are attacking. Each foot troop has a different speed and so will be a different distance from the enemy after the first round. Every troop type has a move of its own so say you send:

ATTACK EXAMPLES

90k lbm
5k giants
1 ssd
1 bd
1.25k hal
1.25k mino
2.5k cons
500 port

this is how your troops would look after the first round

port -----giants-------cons------lbm----mino-----halb-----bd--------------ssd

you probably wont get any attacks this round, and you will lose both your ssd and your bd but the following turn your lbm will be in range of the enemy troops and will crush the first wave, ( probably bds) and the next round the enemy must stop at you halb. using layers like this you slow the enemy down and allow your troops to kill the opponents much easier.

50k FT
50k GO
20k FM
1980 LJ
10 BD
10 SSD

In this the bds and ssds die the first round of defense but LJ get an attack the first attacking round, by the second round the enemy is in range of the FT so they stop moving and start firring on enemy dragons, the ogres continue to move and are now in fort of the FT’s.

Other key things when attacking
> ssds always hit enemy ranged units first if not sent with ranged units and the enemy         doesn't have ssds
> bds go for foot troops and LJ
> pure dragon attacks always hit the enemy in the first round of attacking

Defending
Defending is determined by the troops that are attacking. If some one is attacking you with pure ssds you have a couple choices, you can remove all your Ranged units from your city to protect them and leave you city full of high health units or you can keep ranged units in and defend with an equal number of ssds as that is the first unit enemy ssds will target.
If someone sends bds to attack you, you will want a large number of battle dragons and melee troops to soak up damage and kill enemy ssds.
If someone attacks you with layering you are going to want to remove some of your layering so your troops dont get killed unnecessarily. you only need to keep enough layers to have some left by the time your own lbm get in range of the enemy.
The wall is also help fun as it decrease damage you take from enemy fire.

RNG
RNG stands for random number generator, It is a crucial part of battle mechanics that drive me crazy. For each attack a number is randomly generated to decide how much damage the attacker does. so there is a very small chance you will actually do max damage every round. Also RNG is used to determine if you ranged units miss or hit when they attack, this is why you can lose all your lbm in an attack against a wild or Camp. If you attack a camp that has the equivalent of ssds and your lbm miss on the first round then ssds run up and hit lbm killing some and forcing the lbm to target them next round. this continues and your lbm are slaughtered. Tho RNG plays a small part in attacks on players it isnt that important because all enemy units except the great dragon also are affected by RNG.

GD
The great dragon, and the stone and water dragons, are very useful in attacks, any unit that can hit the GD will aim at it instead of any other troops you have sent because of it health an ranged attack this makes it a great unit to absorb fire from defending ranged units. Also because the Great dragon is a ranged unit it should not be sent with Other dragons only as it forces the other dragons to start further out and not hit the enemy the first enemy. In defense the GD works the same way. Gd’s also give a 5% troop bonus for every lvl they are, lvl 10 being 50%.
